Vaccine Program

As COVID-19 rampaged its way across the country and into our island home, many of our members wished for a way to impact the greater community for the good. They got their chance during February and March of 2021. The opportunity to volunteer for at least one of the four vaccine clinics presented itself. We had so many congregation and community members who jumped at the chance that we had a waitlist of volunteers. We partnered with Gifft Hill School, Cruz Bay/Redhook Family Practice, Harith Wickrema of Island Green Living Association, Father Anthony of Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and the VI Department of Health. In addition, SunDog Cafe, Gallows Point Restaurant, North Shore Deli, and Bikinis on the Beach generously donated snacks and lunches for volunteers between each vaccination shift. 

Volunteers were grateful that the vaccinated were protecting the community, and those receiving vaccines were grateful for the volunteers that made the clinic possible. Our volunteers wore “Vaccine Team'' shirts. We had a great time and helped keep people safe.
